Derby Rush 1.02

Derby Rush is an app based on the classic horse race board game. All moves are made automatically by the app. Players simply roll the dice and hope for the best.

In this game, 44 cards are used after discarding aces, kings, and jokers. Each player may receive a different number of cards. Before the race starts, four horses must be Scratched. The computer determines these horses by rolling dice four times. Players pay accordingly based on their cards as horses move back to the scratch lines.

Once all scratched horses are in place, the race begins. Players take turns rolling the dice to advance horses. If a rolled number corresponds to a scratched horse, the player must pay into the pot.

Players hold cards representing shares of each horse. The player with matching cards to the winning horse claims a portion of the pot—25% for each card. Having all cards of one winning number results in winning the entire pot. Cards are passed, horses reset at the starting gate, and a new race begins once the pot is divided.

The dice outcomes determine which horse advances: a pair of ones corresponds to horse #2, a pair of sixes to a Queen, and a five and six to a Jack.
